Odyssey of the Mind Update

With the competition coming up, the kids have been spending their mornings perfecting a script, designing costumes, and creating art. A competitor, Evelyn, tells us the story is about a greedy art collector who can not get enough money. He decides to buy a robot to appraise art as expensive or cheap, in order to work less. However, the robot acts awry and creates a great mess.
To make the script come to life, Ben has been practicing his acting skills while Blake and Neil have been working on Egyptian themed art. So far, they have created an abacus, a robot, and a sarcophagus. Meanwhile, Abby and Harper are curating costume designs for the ancient characters. The excitement continues to rise as the pieces come together. We can not wait to see the finished project!
The primary group finished up their script and moved on to acting with Ms. Vanessa. They are also creating herbs, designing backdrops and sets, as well as dreaming up costumes! The magical story they are planning to tell is sure to "light" up hearts of the audience. Enjoy this quick video created by Matt, capturing the OMers in action!
Radiant Films Update
by Matt (Director)
Over this past month, I found a video on the internet that made me interested in recreating it as a LEGO stop motion movie. I got the idea of recreating the video from multiple LEGO characters I got for Christmas!
Here are some behind the scenes pictures of me working on it and working on the sets.
I got a lot of attention from the little kids, wondering if they can help out with the sets and help with the characters! I am excited to finish this project and hopefully show the littles with Ms Jo’s permission.
